1. How does AuraWhite Dental Systems Inc. work?
The Primary ingredient is hydrogen peroxide in a gel format. Once exposed to your teeth, the hydrogen peroxide releases oxygen which diffuses through your enamel to oxygenate the proteins inside your teeth. This bond is stable and changes how your teeth reflect light, making them whiter and brighter.
A key factor is the use of a blue LED lamp, with precise settings. For each individual this speeds up the process and causes the hydrogen peroxide gel and oxygen to break into water molecules and free oxygen radicals. The free oxygen radicals combined with the hydrogen peroxide based molecules in the stained teeth proceed to make all stains clear. This process will penetrate the tooth enamel but will not damage it.
Heath Canada; How Tooth Whiteners Work
Tooth whitening systems use peroxide-generating compounds as the whitening ingredient. Most are formulated with hydrogen peroxide, carbamide peroxide or urea peroxide. The latter two are most common, and are about three times less potent than hydrogen peroxide itself.
In general, the more peroxide, the greater the whitener power. Formulations differ depending on the way the product is applied either painted on, or in a tray.
Depending on the strength of the whitener, the peroxide acts on the surface of the tooth, as well as the next layer below the dentin. It does not go far enough to reach the pulp (the innermost part of the tooth.)
Tooth Whiteners will whiten only natural teeth, not caps, crowns, veneers, fillings or dentures. The results are not permanent, but will last for about six months.
2. Remineralizing Teeth
Recommended following any teeth whitening procedure. Remineralization gels contain all of the essential minerals needed for the remineralization of decalcified teeth. Remineralization has been scientifically proven to repair small lesions that are invisible on the teeth and it will help to restore and revive tooth enamel. Teeth become less sensitive to hot, cold, air pressure and become resistant to dental decay.
3. Caring for your “AuraWhite Dental System” Smile
We recommend in the first 24 hours not to eat or drink any of the following: coffee, tea, red wine, cola, beets, berries, candy, curries and tomato sauces.
Using the specially formulated “Whitening Pen” several times a week, will also help to keep your teeth from staining.
Experts recommend maintenance session every 6 to 12 months.
4. Carbonmide versus Hydrogen Peroxide
Carbonmide peroxide gel was also not designed to be used with LED activator lamps. Carbonmide was designed for at home over-night teeth whitening kits, not for chair side use. Dentists surveyed recommend carbonmide peroxide for long term take home use and Hydrogen Peroxide to be used with LED activator lamps.
5. What is B Zero?
This product was developed in the United States, it is a peroxide free chlorine free bleach free teeth whitening product. The results are fair but, it doesn’t work as well as using Hydrogen Peroxide. Like most teeth whitening products B Zero contains oxidizing agents which are the key to teeth whitening. B Zero would be recommended for someone who has an allergy to Hydrogen Peroxide.
6. What Is Chlorine Dioxide And Is It Safe?
AuraWhite Dental Systems Inc. does not use Chlorine Dioxide, as it can permanently damage the teeth according to research.
Warnings on Chlorine Dioxide

7. What Causes Teeth to Darken?
Many things can darken teeth; aging, coffee, tea, cola, tobacco, spices, nerve damage, old fillings and trauma are most of the common causes. Antibiotics like tetracycline and minocycline also cause teeth to discolour.

10. Will the Gel and Peroxide You Offer be the Same as From My Family Dentist?
Absolutely! Our partner in dentistry actually supplies a great deal of product to dental offices throughout North America. Our hydrogen peroxide, although at legal limits, is in many cases more potent than what your dentist will supply. The key to the success of our whitening system is our LED blue light technology which increases the potency of whitening in a fraction of the time and cost.
